In an official notice gazetted on Thursday, Health Cabinet Secretary Cleopa Mailu banned the manufacture, advertising and sale of shisha in the country. And it is dead serious. According to Mr Cleopa, anyone caught contravening this rule will be subjected to pay “A fine not exceeding Sh50,000 or be imprisoned for six months or both.” Shisha has over the past few years gained popularity in the country’s social scene. It’s probably why loads of people were not particularly excited with the news. The World Health Organizations says, ” Cigarette smokers typically take eight to 12 cigarettes with a 40 to 75 millimetre puffs and inhale 0.5 to 0.6 litres of smoke.
