Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho turned his anger to former midfielder Paul Scholes after his side's 2-0 comfortable win over Everton on Monday. Mourinho accused the Man United legend of being jealous of summer-signing Paul Pogba. He claimed that Scholes is envious of Pogba's skills in the midfield Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has registered his disappointment with former midfielder Paul Scholes' criticism of the Red Devils. Scholes, who is highly regarded as a United legend has in the recent past lashed out at the Red Devils' poor run of form, having only won once in their last five matches. The former England international took issue with summer-signing Paul Pogba's performance following Saturday’s goalless draw at home to Southampton. However, in a quick rejoinder on Monday, January 1, Mourinho hit back at Scholes' sensational accusations against Pogba, asserting that the ex-midfielder was jealous of the Frenchman's immense wealth at the pitch. Speaking to the press after United's 2-0 comfortable win against Everton at Goodinson Park, the former Chelsea manager affirmed that some former United player's criticism of the team was influenced by their desire to have a job at Old Trafford. “I think the only thing Paul Scholes does is criticise. I don’t think he comments, I think he criticises, which is a different thing. Not every one of us has to be phenomenal like he was as a player. That does not mean we all have to be phenomenal," Jose remarked. Pogba played an integral part in United's win against The Toffees and was voted man of the match.
