Kenya Pipeline and Kenya Prisons on Thursday chalked up successive victories on day three of the Women's Africa Club Volleyball Championship in Egypt. Prisons were the first of the two Kenyan teams to take to the court, and they wasted little time in underlining their supremacy. Powered by a lethal attack consisting captain Mercy Moim, Everlyne Makuto plus Kwanthanze alumni Lorine Chebet and Sharon Chepchumba, Prisons outclassed Cote d'ivorie champs Asec Mimoas 3-0 sets (25-7,25-17,25-12) in a one sided Pool D game at the Ahly Hall in Cairo. This was Prisons' second victory at the Championship in consecutive days. On Wednesday night, David Lung'aho's charges - who are eyeing a sixth continental title at this tournament - also easily defeated another West African side in the frame of Nigeria's Customs, posting a straight sets victory of 25-10,25-15, 25-15 scores. This result enabled the wardresses edge closer to securing a berth in the quarters of this competition. "So far so good," Moim explained. "We are playing very well and everyone has noticed. I wish to congratulate our debutants (Chebet and Chepchumba) who have fitted in well despite joining us from school early this year," Prisons captain Mercy Moim explained in his post match comments. At the same time, Kenya Pipeline surprisingly dropped a set against Ugandan side Vision Volleyball Club, but still posted a 3-1(25-7, 24-26, 25-13,25-15) triumph in a four set Pool C thriller. Pipeline's opening game at this tournament also resulted in a convincing 3-0 sets ( 25-23,25-22,25-22) victory over hosts El Shams. Friday's fixtures: Kenya Prisons v DOUANES (Burundi) - 5pm Kenya Pipeline v DGSP (Democratic Republic of Congo) - 6pm
