Nairobi is buzzing with activity and a lot of brands are launching new products, getting old products restocked and opening new locations.
One brand that got us all talking is the Ugaasadda clothing store that just set shop in Parklands, Nairobi.
The founder, Ugaaso A. Boocow, a Somali-Canadian blogger and published photographer announced last week that her brand was opening a second store in Nairobi, having been in business in Toronto, Canada.
According to the website, Ugaasadda means "the Queen" in Somali, deriving from the noun Ugaaso "Queen.
Hijabs a big part of the Muslim woman's everyday fashion decisions and having high a quality and boldly coloured brand to shop from is amazing news.
