It is a Friday evening and your girl squad is in your house ready to go out. It’s that time of the night when you all start prepping your faces and suddenly someone is borrowing one of your makeup essential. So do you become Mother Teresa and share or do you become a mean girl and just say no? Most of the times we don’t even think about it as much. Makeup is very personal and sometimes sharing might just be the reason you are breaking out. However, there are some makeup products that you can actually share.
Girls, you can share your dreams and expectations with your friends and the good news is that you can now share your foundation and concealer with them too. This can only happen if you are using a liquid foundation that is dispensed using a pump or a concealer that is in a tube. This is because there is a minimal transfer of bacteria with such packaging. Just ensure that you have the same skin tone of course!
Unlike mascaras and moist creams, loose powders do not have the moist environment fit for bacteria to thrive. Instead of using it straight from the jar try tapping some onto your hand and ensure that you don’t use the same brushes for application.
So the rule of thumb is anything that can be sharpened back to a brand new state is safe. From lip pencils to eye pencils you can now comfortably share just make sure its sharpened to avoid having eye infections. Just to be extra safe, ensure that you dip them in alcohol or a sanitizer every once a week to keep it germs free.
We know you’ve all shared makeup before. How was your experience? Its a safe space ladies share with us below
