A single male MCA in Nyandarua was forced to cut short his speech after attempting to lecture women on matters pregnancy. Kiambaga ward MCA Gathure Wambui complained of the low rate of pregnancy in the region only to be booed on stage. He claimed the maternity wing in the hospital was empty, but instead was tasked to explain why he was unmarried and childless A Youthful Member of County Assembly recently suffered the wrath of irate women after making a sensitive comment on marriage in a public forum. Kiambaga ward MCA Gathure Wambui learnt his lesson the hard way after making an attempt to lecture women on matters pregnancy. While addressing a public forum, the unmarried MCA complained that he had visited the JM Memorial Hospital alongside other MCAs and were disappointed to find the maternity wing empty. In essence, Gathure complained of the low rate of pregnancy in the region. ‘’We were shocked to find not a single woman in the maternity ward. All the beds were empty. This is a clear indication that our women are no getting pregnant.’’ Gathure said. Well, his sentiments, however, did not auger down well with women who were part of the crowd he was addressing. In a suprising turn of events, the women turned on the MCA and trolled him silly even before wrapping up his speech. The irate women attacked the MCA, asking him to reveal the number of chidren he had sired and why he was still a bachelor at his age. ‘’What are you telling us? How many kids have you sired? You do not even have a wife, when will you get married? Can you stop lecturing us about giving birth’’ shouted the women. Their bashing forced the Kiambaga ward MCA to take back his words and promise to get married in the near future.
