Couple Welcomes Baby Girl From 24-Year-Old Frozen Embryo

A baby has been born from an embryo that was frozen for 24 years. Emma Gibson was born weighing 6 pounds 8 ounces and measuring 20 inches long on November 25. According to the local east Tennessee news station WBIR, the embryo was donated, then frozen on October 14, 1992 and thawed by NEDC lab director Carol Sommerfelt on March 13, 2017.
