A Kenyan woman by the name Gladys Butoto has taken Diamond Platnumz to court.
According to the woman, he and the bongo artist are parents to a baby girl aged one and a half years old by the name Patience.
Her efforts to reach the artist for child support were met with fake promises or he would sometimes ignore her forcing her to take legal action against him.
“I would not wish to take this direction but I have realized Diamond is disrespectful, yet he knows the truth. If we discussed this and agreed on how we will take care of our child, I would not be having any issue with him,” she told Uwazi.
Speaking to Global Publishers much earlier, Butoto claimed that Diamond had previously accepted to conduct a DNA test, but come the examination day, he failed to show up.
“Mwanangu anaumwa lakini nimekuja naye hivyohivyo ili nijue hatma yangu na pia twende mbele ya sheria maana hata mama yake alishawahi kusema mimi ni chizi lakini siwezi kumsingizia mwanaye hata kidogo kuhusu hilo,” she said.
Butoto revealed that on several occasions she was forced to endure the cold nights on the streets whenever she travels to Tanzania since she is not in a financial position to cater for her accommodation.
The case will be heard on Wednesday in Dar es Salaam June 20th, at a city juvenile court.
