Sultan the rapper! Watch Governor Joho spit rhymes

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho is well known in Kenya for his fiery delivery of his flowery Swahili whenever he speaks in a podium to the adoration of his huge political base. His flamboyance also has no equal but what many have in the New Year 2017 discovered is that the ‘Sultan’ can drop some lines and literally give some rappers a run for their money. In a video circulating online, Governor Joho challenged a budding rapper at Pirates Beach, Mombasa, to a rap duel and proceeded to spit rhymes as the crowd cheered him on. Who won? Check out the video below! Joho had landed at the beach in his new chopper to the amusement of locals who were swimming and making merry on the shores of the Indian Ocean in celebrations to usher in the New Year, 2018. What a way to start the new year!
