Treasury releases Sh37bn to schools

The Treasury has released Sh37 billion to public schools for implementation of the free secondary education programme, a day after the institutions reopened for the first term of 2018. Public secondary schools have received Sh29.5 billion to cater for the programme, part of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s 2017 election campaign pledges.
