, NAIROBI, Kenya May 21 – Insurance brokerage firm Minet Kenya has unveiled several insurance policies targeting learning institutions.

The policies covers teaching liabilities, students’ personal accident covers, assets and other liabilities, pecuniary and institutions’ employees covers.

The teaching Institution Liability policy covers legal liabilities to third parties including liability claims related to professional and managerial negligence, employment practices, defense costs and reputational crisis management costs, intellectual property infringement & defamation, special tutoring liability, and ancillary services provision.

The student personal accident cover include accidental death, permanent total disability, medical expenses, artificial appliances, accidental dental injuries, and funeral expenses.

“Schools and educational institutions face a variety of unique risks that require specialized insurance protection. From students participating in sports to the inherent dangers of running chemistry classes and taking students on field trips, there’s a lot that educational institutions need to manage and protect,” said Minet Kenya Chief Executive Officer Sammy Muthui.
